A Little Bit About Us…
We are TensileFabric — we love and understand fabrics and we design, manufacture and install fabric structures for a variety of uses and for a diverse customer base.
Director and Owner
Trained in 3D design, Tim has always been a practical hands-on designer. He started his career in fabric structures back in 1993 working on a multitude of projects for both blue chip companies and the main UK-wide leading architectural practice.
Tim has a wealth of knowledge and broad experience of the industry and how fabric should be formed, designed and delivered, helping the business grow into a successful design-led firm.
Tim is a keen mountain biker, kite surfer and snow boarder — if he can ever find the time between DIY and three small children!
James is our senior designer with 15 years of experience in the industry. Prior to working in the tensile fabric industry, he was part of the design and build team for Legoland California.
In his free time James is a keen sailor and volleyballer and loves attending gigs.
Abi organises all of the marketing and business development activities for TensileFabric, including the production of literature, e-newsletters, website content, social media and CRM activities. Abi also oversees the admin and accounts to ensure the business is running smoothly.
Outside the office Abi enjoys running and kettlebells, when she's not doing up her project house or ferrying her kids around to various clubs!
TensileFabric works in partnership with our sister company, Fabricworks, to manufacture the structures at our production space.
In charge of fabric production and buying, Gareth is trained in CAD and Adobe Illustrator and has over 20 years' experience in project management and the manufacturing of fabric forms for both exterior and interior projects. He has a wealth of technical fabric knowledge including printing and is a huge asset to the team.
Gareth enjoys many hobbies including surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and competing long distance trials on his motorbike. Also squeezing in the odd half marathon here and there when his schedule allows!
Colin has over 35 years of experience in the tensile fabric industry, manufacturing structures for a variety of blue chip companies and countless exhibition companies worldwide. Colin uses his vast wealth of experience of using old and new sail making skills.
In his free time Colin's hobbies include spending time with the family, mountain biking, lots of walking with the dogs, cinema, music, a bit of theatre and comedy.
