We returned to Sheffield University for another solar screen project. This time it was within an office environment where the VDU screen users were suffering from sun glare due to the high level glass roof.

During the design, both the angle of the sun and the air movement from the ceiling fans had to be considered. The shade sails were therefore positioned on an angle to allow for both of these factors.

The fabric was a Satine 5500 which offers a high degree of UV protection for a mesh white fabric. The sails were installed over the weekend so as not to disrupt office hours.
