We were asked to create a walkway canopy at Leeds General Infirmary to link the exit of the children’s oncology ward and the pavilion building. As the structure is asymmetric, we had to pay particular attention to the connection details as every one was different.

We used a PVC coated polyester fabric over a coated steel frame and the hospital chose laminated tapered timber columns to give a pleasing aesthetic look.
