We recently installed a tensile fabric canopy to join two adjacent buildings at The Holiday Inn, Earls Court, London. This canopy provides rain protection for guests passing between the two buildings.

As part of the design brief the canopy needed to be positioned above four metres to enable large vehicle access, as well as being relatively easily removed should very tall vehicle access be required to the adjoining telecommunications company in emergency situations.

The contractor on site dealt with the sizing and installation of the steel columns allowing Tensilefabric to install the canopy during a single day.

The canopy incorporates a fabric upstand on two sides, where the water is diverted to the lowest corner to the client's required drain point.
